My name is Erin and I love the Internet for this reason

Hi!

My name is Erin and I just got my letter to start HRT! I'm in a major-ish city on the east coast and I'm equally nervous as excited to see where my journey takes me.

Although I just received my letter, I -have- stopped/started HRT twice through DIY means (I know, I know). Currently, I'm in the incredibly boring part of my transition which is saving money (I have advanced degrees and work in tech, but student loans are kah-illlling me!). My priorities include:

• sperm storage
• hair removal
• HRT regimen

I feel peculiar in my journey in a way that I've read (er...lurked) that other people here might share: although I've shown some tell-tale signs of trans-ness while little, I have only recently accepted this as a part of my life from here on out (I'm 26 now). My dyphoria re: genitals is minimal, but otherwise can jam me up in the form of a very general malaise. But I'm looking on the bright side

Anywho—I'm happy to be here and get to know you wonderful people in earnest!
