My apologies for previously breaking rules when trying to share this review, and the frustration I clearly displayed. Hope this doesn't break any rules. Here it is.

ReelMagik STP vs Emisil STP (Unreleased)

I know many of you have been waiting on a comparison between these two products! I have been lucky enough to test both and can provide first-hand opinions and comparisons. If there is a question you have that I didn't cover, please let me know and I will try my best to answer it!

Also note that the Emisil is not yet available to purchase but should be soon! Keep checking their website.

Keep in mind that the Emisil one was written before I owned a ReelMagik.

Appearance:

Size: They are similar in size, as you can see in the photos. The ReelMagik is heavier than the Emisil. The testicles are larger and heavier, and the shaft is slightly longer. But the ReelMagik has a wider shaft girth.

Shape: They are quite different in shape, due to the nature of their funnels.  The ReelMagik "hangs" more, while the Emisil is more horizontal linear, if that makes sense! The funnel is larger in the Emisil.

Colour: Both have extreme amounts of detail in the paint. The testicles are darker on the Emisil and there is more colour variation on the various parts of the prosthetic. The ReelMagik has less drastic variation but more subtle freckling and detail in the skin.

Feel: The skin on the Emisil is tougher, less smooth, but stronger feeling. The testicles have thicker skin and are more 'liquid' inside. The ReelMagik testicles feel more like 'gel' throughout. The skin is softer and gentler. It stretches more and is much more bendy. The shaft is floppier than the Emisil that stands semi-erect.

When wearing: The Emisil funnel covers your entire lower genitalia. If worn to pack in 'peeing' position, the shaft will stick out from between the legs. It is comfortable to wear in peeing position at all times, this is the most comfortable way I've found. The shaft pokes out a bit, I tuck it upwards into tighter underwear. The ReelMagik prosthetic hangs in the front of the body more than being 'underneath'. There is much more 'hang', and a bit more 'bulge'. The bulge in the pants is a bit more realistic as it it is created by a soft curve rather than a slight poke of a shaft. With the ReelMagik you have to be careful not to sit on the testicles as they are further back. That is the compromise for the funnel sitting against you and covering more space. The ReelMagic funnel is smaller and doesn't extend as far back. Possibly less cumbersome, but less reliable for STP. I never found the Emisil funnel to be uncomfortable to wear.

Peeing:

Let me start by saying both are great STPs. They are just difference for preference. The Emisil is more 'foolproof' or 'leakproof'. It covers more of your genitalia and is very, very hard to mess up. The shaft is sturdy and the flow is very difficult to interrupt. The only difficulty can be getting the angle right through pants, I recommend underwear with an opening fly.

The ReelMagik has a 'no drip lip' that works pretty well, but if not positioned precisely the urine can spill back over it. Body and shaft positioning also have to be fairly precise for the mechanics to work. It works well, you just have to be precise about it. The Emisil is better for simplicity and confidence.

Playing:

I will start this section by saying neither of these products are marketed for play.

I have yet to try the ReelMagik for play, but it is extremely soft and flimsy and I'm not sure how that will work out. If play is your primary focus I wouldn't buy an STP product, none of them are ideal for play, especially not this one.

The Emisil actually works really well for play! I used a peecock erection rod and a condom of course, wearing it with a harness, and it worked really well for both myself and my partner. The way the shaft is designed linear rather than hanging serves well for play. It sticks out at a good angle where the ReelMagik would not.

General Wear/Other Notes:

As noted in my ReelMagik review, I have yet to get the adhesive to work properly. I have followed all directions, and am beginning to think it just doesn't work for my body. That being said. I know other guys have had success in this area. I worry that the way the ReelMagik prosthetic hangs, it would need a very supportive harness to stop it from 'swinging' around. The receptacle could easily swing out of place without adhesive. Currently I'm wearing it with a harness and some adhesive to give it a bit of stick, because neither thing on its own seemed entirely practical.

The Emisil does not adhere, but works very well with many harnesses. I recommend a harness with leg straps as these are heavy prosthetics and they are much more comfortable with that extra support.

Both companies had fantastic customer service. They both responded to all emails in great time, and were eager to help. Emisil packers come from Lithuania and there was a bit of a language barrier but they were extremely patient with figuring out what I was trying to say and did an awesome job communicating with me. Also the packer shipped in similar time to the ReelMagik despite distance!

Which Should I Buy?

Buy Emisil If:

·      STPing is difficult for you and you want the most foolproof option

·      Sexual play with your STP prosthetic is something important to you

·      You don't care to adhere your prosthetic

·      You want something strong/sturdy feeling

Buy ReelMagik If:

·      Realistic "hang" is important to you

·      Adhesive works well with your body or you really want to use adhesive

·      The appearance in your underwear is important, this product has a more realistic bulge and grab feel

·      Play isn't a priority

·      Realistic skin feel is important, more malleable testicles

These are both fantastic products and you can't go wrong with either one. Let me know if I can help you with any more questions or comparisons!

I have now reviewed: Peecock 2, TSW Python, TSW Diamond, Eroticreations (old), Eroticreations (new), Emisil Erect, Emisil STP, ReelMagik STP.

I have just confirmed that I will be receiving the new peecock Gen 3s to test. That will be my next review, stay tuned!

Great review!...Covers most bases. A few questions: 1. What brand of harness with leg straps do you suggest for either (I'm considering a modified jock strap)?
2. What's the expected price of the finalized Emisil?
3. I got slighly confused by your brand references when talking about the testicles on each product. Specifically, is sitting on the testicles an issue for the RM or Emisil? I've  heard some guys say that RM testicles ended up being an issue once the funnel was placed adequately.
4. After working with the company, are you still unable to get the adhesive to work?

Unfortunately, based on functionality, I think I'll have to cancel my RM order in anticipation of the Emisil. I'd hate to wait 4 months and not be able to adhere or pee effectively. Despite the slight inconvenience with my order change, I am VERY thankful that you took the time to document your experiences with both.

I agree...great review:) I've personally used the RM STP and I absolutely love it! I have never had any issues with the adhesive or urinating through it. It looks and feels amazing. I have a friend who ordered an Emisil flaccid prosthetic just recently and he was soooo disappointed with it:( It was very hard to the touch, and the shipped product looked nothing like the photos on the webstore:( I was able to see it up close and the paint job was not good in my opinion...they must put their best work on the webstore, and I'm sure they would make sure to send their best work to a reviewer as well. Could also be that they try to ship their products too quickly? I personally would rather wait longer for a better quality product than get one faster and have it not be that great. They also are now claiming that their products actually adhere (they've had problems in that area)...my friend could not get his to stay on. I've been using RM prosthetics for a few years now and I've never had issues with adhesive...not sure what Emisil is using.

RM has been to the Trans conferences...they are well known and awesome to deal with. They are super friendly and so easy to talk with..they are always willing to help with problems or questions too. Their shipping products look as good if not better than the photos on their webstore:) I personally would choose to support them based on the fact that they have amazing products, they are an American company, and they are LGBT owned:) Just my opinion.

I agree that RM has quality products and great customer service. I have no experience with Emisil, but I am leaning toward them based on consistent functionality of the design. As Max pointed out, the adhesive is hit or miss. If it ends up not working for me, then I'm stuck wearing a harness either way. I'm mostly concerned about it not covering everything to avoid leaks. The RM design seems to require too precise placement to work consistently, unless you're a particular shape/size. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to buy it. Again, I'd  hate to spend  $600 just to discover it doesn't "fit" the way it should for easy/ practical use. I'm willing to pay and wait for quality, I'm just not sure it will actually work. [emoji53]

Have you written about your experience with the RM stp? I'd  be interested to know how you went about learning to use it with no issues.

Yes I posted a review on here after I first purchased the RM STP. I had no issues, so there was really no learning curve with me. I went by their instructions and it's worked great ever since my first use, and I've seen other reviews that said similar. I posted this before, but was at the Philly Trans Health conference this year. RM had a few STP's on sale there and one of the guys that bought one came back the next day and said how amazing it was and how easy to use it was.  There were quite a few of us hanging out around their table and we were able to hear from other people how much they love their products...of course I was one of them, haha. They really go out of their way for their customers. I can't praise them enough. They even provide a warranty with their prosthetics. I would really recommend sticking with the RM...especially since the Emisil isn't out yet and has no real world reviews. RM has a ton of reviews...all of which are very positive:) Best of luck to you in whatever you decide!

Thanks for your feedback, I couldn't  find your review though. [emoji30] You're really convincing otherwise. RM should hire you as a rep. Lol [emoji6]

I'll give it more thought, but for the price, the functionality shouldn't be iffy and it sounds hit or miss (literally). Wish there were more reviews like this one.

Hi...I'm new to Susuans forums, but I was doing a search for prosthetics and this site popped up. I wanted to let you know that I also purchased from Emisil recently and had an awful experience. I'm planning on posting a review on it as soon as the site allows me too, but I just wanted to let people know what they are getting into. My order took way longer than they said (supposed to be 2-3 weeks), and I ended up receiving it after close to 3 months!  I tried contacting them but their customer service was terrible...they never got back to my emails and I even tried calling them and never got an answer or a call back after leaving multiple messages trying to find out where my product was. It seems like they know who they need to impress (reviewers).

When I finally did receive it, IT DID NOT LOOK LIKE THE PRODUCT ON THEIR STORE! The coloration on it was very muddy and blotchy looking, and did not appear to look as realistic as they do on their webstore. It didn't match my skin tone at all, even after they originally promised me that they have this amazing skin matching process. The prosthetic itself did not feel realistic at all...it was very stiff and while the testicles were somewhat movable they did not feel real. I've had packers that felt more realistic.

I contacted them again many times to try to return it, as it was not what I had ordered. I ended up contacting my credit card company and having them fight to get my money back, which I did eventually. There are many better companies out there! Best of luck to you, but I would avoid Emisil.

Max, how do the two compare in weight? I understood that the Reelmagik one is on the heavy side.

Would you say the Reelmagik is too heavy to properly wear with a harnas? My first fear after hearing the weight was that it would stretch a harnass rather fast. I usually wear my Gen2 Peecock with the Peecock jockstrap harnass which I love so I would probably want to wear a new prosthetic with those as well.

1. The ones I've worn are literally a ring with a waistband and leg straps. You can make it or buy it online, I am not sure of the specific brand but I think many companies make them, it's very very basic! Sorry I can't be of too much help there.

2. I think emisil will be around $500 when it is released.

3.  Sorry about the confusion! It was the Emisil I was worried about sitting on the testicles just because the funnel sits further back to ensure full coverage when peeing. It's not really a huge deal though just took a bit of getting used to! :)

4.  I have made the adhesive work, as long as I wear a simple waistband harness over it. Just a waistband with a shaft loop, or a shaft loop built into boxers. Neither the adhesive or the single loop harness worked on it's own but a bit of adhesive with a simple loop harness works well and is really comfy. I've been wearing it for a week now!

Glad you like your RM and have had no problems with adhesion! That's nice to hear. Also sorry your friend was disappointed with his emisil. The skin is definitely tougher to the touch than the RM, but it makes it more rugged and better for higher activity, sexual play, etc. It's all about finding what works for you!

I can't really talk about other people's products, I'm sorry if they didn't turn out well and weren't what they were expecting! I'm not sure really what their reasoning is, or how that worked out as I don't work for the company they just send me things to review!

I tried to adhere an emisil and reelmagik and had similar dilemmas, I think it must just be my body type. But they appeared to have the same adhering potential from what I could see. Also both companies were fantastic to me service wise, even prior to being a reviewer.

I am not defending one over the other, I work for neither company and am just sharing my own experience! Just trying to help everyone be aware of their options and find a product that is right for them :)

Glad you've found a product and company you enjoy so much!

I'm sorry your experience was so poor with Emisil. I had a very opposite experience. I hope you're able to work it out.
I have read positive reviews from people who purchased prosthetics, not just myself who was sent one, but obviously your experience was bad and I'm sorry to hear that. I don't work for them and won't try to defend, I can only speak from the experiences I've had, and won't downplay the experiences of others! Yours is just as valid as mine.

Best of luck in resolving your concerns, glad you got your money back!

They are both quite heavy prosthetics, which could be why they are difficult to adhere. I haven't had issues with harnesses stretching as long as the harness is designed well and supports the prosthetic in the right places.

My only warning with the peecock harness is that it's made to fit the peecock and other prosthetics may not fit as nicely into it.

Best of luck!

As far as STPs go, everyone's anatomy is slightly different, and some people find certain ones much easier to use than others! Unfortunately sometimes it can take some trial and error to find what works for your body.

I agree that RM has a lot of positive basis, and I definitely love the product. But personally, I wouldn't count out the emisil either, it may be new but for guys who struggle to STP it may be just what they're looking for. Best of luck to everyone looking for their missing piece ;)

The Reel Magik STP is slightly over 10 ozs.  Write Emisil and ask his weight.  I have learned that even a small difference in weight makes a big difference in my pants.  I have consistently ruled out packers/STPs based on weight.

The weight of the average STP/packer seems to be increasing with new products.

I think the weight thing comes with realism. You can make unrealistic testicles quite light, but as soon as you're adding multiple layers of skin, moveable gel, etc. it gets a little weighty. I tend to actually like the weight, feels real to me.

It's a preference difference I guess, some prefer the weight and intense realism and some prefer lighter with less "feel" detail. Wouldn't it be great if they could make a best of both worlds??

I saw Emisil finally released the STP. Has anyone purchased this yet? just curious to see if anyone else likes it.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.
