Well not sure where to start this I see posts here about people being concerned if they will pass this is my idea of a great pass story.
I feel it was a very rewarding event and this is becoming quite common lately
Sunday afternoon we like to go hangout at one of the local pubs, they have live music until 7 pm and it is an outdoor setting. This week there was a car show and community event that drew in a couple thousand people so it was very much a full house, it was a fun day with great music, dancing and food.
As we were getting ready to leave a young gal came up and sat down and began to express how proud and excited she was to see me out having fun and dancing and how she would give anything to have the courage to come out. Long and short of it we exchanged phone numbers and set up a meeting for later this week to be able to chat a bit more. It seems that this now being the third person who has asked for help or time from me after brief meetings in various public venues but (usually out dancing) that I wanted to share how much it means to me to be able to help someone find where their comfort level is in accepting themselves regardless of if they transition or not. I cry a bit and glow a bunch when things like this happen.
It is just a matter of being proud of whom I am becoming
So I guess I do not pass all the time but don't think I need to hurry along with any more changes just let time and living take its course and try my best to be true to me and the brothers and sisters that may reach out for help.
one day, one step, with grace it will be forward today

I understand the feeling. When I was in group several of us would meet in the parking lot afterward talking about most anything including issues in life. Fast forward about 30 years to today. I came to Susan's to learn about the advancements in voice surgery and while poking around on the web site I discovered how few people were long term post surgical. I knew there were a few things that have improved over the years but the head game of transgender/transexual hasn't changed that much. I felt with all that I learned and the maturity I have developed over the years could aid people who still haven't found that comfortable spot in the world. Every time I give somebody a nudge in the right direction it make all the effort worth while.

The real joy for me is the children. In real life, children fear me because of my size and possible because of my voice. Here they accept me and I can help them past the barriers I that blocked me so many year ago.
