I was amazed

I was amazed today,a former classmate I graduated with felt something bad from the past.He put me through lot of pain teasing and picking on me a lot back in elementary,middle and high school for being a crossdresser.Called me names I will not mention at all.He felt bad about doing this to me and I encountered him this afternoon seeing a positive change in him.Finally said he wanted to make things right with what he did to people in the past.Plus he could not sleep well at night also.Finally said he was sorry for what he did to me in the past and is a 100% changed person.His mom got it to him that he needed to think over what he did in the past and make things right.Looked at him and said apology accepted,I saw he was going to sleep well at night for what he did.I even felt a lot better too knowing what he did to me was wrong.

You have learned the lesson of forgiveness and by forgiving your classmate, you will both become better people from it. In addition, you may have converted an enemy into a friend and ally. You have set a good example and should be proud of it.

We talked a little bit and was glad I forgave him.I was one of 12 people he put so much pain to and did this to 7 other people that he has forgiven by.I remember one time he called me the F word I will not mention.I was dressed a business woman which was on a Halloween day,got to dress as we want to,was my sophomore year of high school.Walked by calling me this word and luckily the principal caught him doing it right in the principal's office.Got a few days off for it.

Thinking about it, I might not be as forgiving as you. In high school, I had to deal with a couple of bullies but I am not sure they were in my class. Other than that I was pretty much ignored by everybody else as I was a nerd. My 45th class reunion is in October and I am thinking about attending my class reunion for the first time. I don't know if I am going to make them uncomfortable or if it will fun. Nobody has a clue what happened to me as I moved out of the area shortly after college and haven't bumped into anybody after moving back in to the area 5 years ago. I am still questioning if this is one of my better ideas. One thing is for sure and that is it will be a night to remember and it will be pretty hard to ignore me.

Great that you were able to forgive this guy, hopefully he really has changed for the better.

Dena...  I passed on my 20 year reunion recently a very small part of me is curious to see what happened to people, but I'm still in contact with about 5 people I hung out with in my last few hours of high school.   There's not many beyond those few that I really care about.   I'm such a different person than I was back then kinda seems counter productive to put myself back in that space again.   I wasn't a jock or very popular.... Just a kid trying to get by (and of course keep my dressing a secret)

He is changing for the better,had a talk with his mom on doing this and she it was a great idea.Regrets what he did to me in the past.He was one of two that bullied me,the other guy has not changed his ways yet.
