Hope the trip back to the hotel went well and you're now back safe and well :)

Day off tomorrow and then Sri comes and with luck in a few days no packing or catheter and the joys of learning to pee and dilation :) Oh yeah a shower :)

Congratulations, Isabelle!

Once the drains were out having the BA and SRS at the same time wasn't such a big deal. I tended to do my breast massage routine in the shower room because of the nice hard walls, towels immediately handy for cushioning things, and the AC wasn't blowing on my naked butt when I did it.

You may find it handy to create a paper towel shroud with tape and tuck it in where the control panel snaps down onto the AC unit above the bathroom door. That can reroute air flow if the direct air flow on you is too chilly. If not, then no need.

Welcome to the club! Next time you see Som tell her Cara Ramsey says hello. :)

Yeah the breast pain was the only thing that bothered me out of everything so far.  And I even that was manageable. A few days later and they're fine. Just feel a bit bruised is all. I'm totally capable of shuffling about the room and making stuff for myself, and my lovely lovely neighbour does little tesco runs every other day and grabs me anything I need. Packing out in a day or so, catheter out in a few more.... Looking forward to getting on the plane. I miss my dog.

Dressing comes off, and packing comes out today,
I'm not going to miss the giant surgery diaper!

Well keep us posted  :)

What kind of dog do you have  :)  ?

He's a little medium sized mongrel from the shelter. We got him when he was tiny. Hes still young. Very quiet, soft. gentle character.

Well young means usually playful... given to play with balls etc  :)

Ya, pretty normal depth of 6" Sooooo relieved to get the dressings off!! Gigantic surgery diaper was NOT fun! Nurses say everything healing well. Have to do booby massage now. Never think a BA is a small operation! It's high maintenance and and very painful for the first little while. The nurse told me BA is one of the most painful cosmetic surgeries you can have. Nexr little step is the catheter out... Not going to miss that thing!

Have they let you have  shower? They say no shower until the catheter is out but Sri told me to shower as soon as she'd measured my depth so I started worrying I must have stunk or something  ;D

Glad you have got a good depth and the relief of no packing. Next stop dilation :)

Congrats Isabelle, glad it all went well. So much freedom having the catheter out
I will touch a 100 flowers and not pick one.

bootifulone

Isabelle

Awesome :) you're going to love it :)

still no freedom from the catheter. I've managed to stay pretty stoic through this how thing so far but, not gonna lie, dilating with the catheter in.... Wowsers.. Do not want.
  •

Serenation

hopefully you don't have to do that to many more times
I will touch a 100 flowers and not pick one.

Sigh.... Still have the catheter. No idea why. The nurses are lovely but occasionally they're a little light on details. I leave in 10 days. Looking forward to seeing my partner, my dog, my bed, my house...

Hey, did you find one of your boobies softened faster than the other? I massage them both a lot, probably more than the recommended minimum, I'm just finding the left side won't soften like the right... Chets massage schedule is pretty rigorous too... I've been looking up other surgeons and the amount they recommend varies wildly from none, to 5 mins, right up to chet at 2 hours....
And let's be honest "massage" is playing pretty loose with english... "Crush" would be more accurate lol.

seems a very long time for the catheter, guess someone who went to chet can chime in. They gotta make sure you can pee ok.

My catheter came out 9 days post op if you're not counting the day of the surgery. Obviously nobody but Sri can say why it hasn't come out yet but there must be a reason. If you cannot see anything in the little mirror you could ask Noi to take a photo using your phone which you can then zoom in on and maybe you'll see what they can.

Well one way or another you will find out soon as Chett will be inviting you in for a post op consultation and as Serenation said they need to give you time to learn how to pee.

There was a girl there when I had my SRS who also had a BA and she showed me what Chetts massage routine was like :) I'd agree crush is a better description  ;D When I was in college learning massage I'd have been thrown off the course for being that rough  ;D

Hope it all gets better for you really soon and you are safely on your way home

Although 9 to 10 days seem like a long time,  I'm sure they are just being cautious.  What you didn't mention though is whether or not still having the catheter in is painful or just annoying.  ??

Would appreciate your input on another issue. I would like to be able to communicate to the outside world while I am in recovery.  I don't have a laptop, Ipad or a smart phone. What would you suggest is the best device to have?

Get well soon!

Hugz,
Joi
