Does penile inversion place the vagina too far forward?

This is something I've heard.  Seems some penile inversion recipients are happy with the looks and functionality, but not the location.  Any truth behind the idea that penile inversion SRS will place the vulva/vagina/whatever too far forward on the body compared to where those bits and pieces are located on a cis girl?  Or is any difference merely slight?

And does the Suporn/Chett way of doing things put the bits and pieces in the correct place?

Well speaking as probably the only person on this forum who has not only had SRS, but also had the opportunity to be present as a student in theatre during an SRS procedure, I can tell you that the angle of the pubic arch - and the size of the pubic opening will have a bigger effect than where the precise skin flap came from.

Its your internal plumbing and musculoskeltal anatomy that will determine the location not the external stuff.

For most trans women is *that* further forward than a cis-gendered woman?
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Hello, I am a little confused.  Forward of what?  Mine looks a little higher (so says my CIS BFF).  Camel toe in bikini bottom is noticeable.  Pubic area tends to still swell-up a bit (not so flat).  Once you get below that area, its all flat and up against my body.  Opening of vagina is well inside me and in expected position/alignment.

Not yet at 90 days post-op.  Doctor says expect improvement for 6 months.  Any tweaks if desired can be made after that period.

Yeah, I'm inclined to think that the source of the vaginal skin is less important than the personal issues of anatomy. I do know that Brassard advertises that he removes an approximately inch-square flap of skin from the perineum, which is where he places the vagina for most people - meaning, essentially, that it's possible to conclude both that a) the perineum is smaller afterward and b) that the vagina must be typically located in the inch of perineum farthest from the anus (because it would illogical and dangerous to place the vagina as close to the rectum as possible). This is true for me; I definitely have less perineum now, and my vagina is placed so that the "top" edge is more or less where the very end of my scrotum connected to my body. Based on my wife and what I have seen of cis porn, this is well within accepted variations - nobody should be down there measuring to the millimeter, after all. :)

The only real difference I notice is that the angle of my vagina is a bit steeper - towards my belly button - than my wife's. But again, I doubt anyone who's not obsessive about it would pick up on this, and it's still within the cis range. My vulva does extend a bit higher up my body that my wife's, in that a little more vulva is visible standing with legs closed than on her, but I've seen other women where that's true, so I have no real idea whether it's her or me who's less typical.

The vagina itself is NOT placed where the penis appears to connect to the body at the pubic mound; that *would* be ridiculously anatomically inaccurate. In reality, the penis "root" extends quite a distance into the body under the skin, and that's what's being built on when it's inverted, as I understand it. I don't even have a scar where my penis appeared to connect at the pubic arch, and I have no explanation for that part...

Your question struck me as a bit funny because the other day when I was dilating I looked at the location of my entry and though it might be a bit to far back. I really don't have anything to compare it with but I can see where a male would lose two or more inches just getting to the entrance. My surgery was 1982 vintage done by Biber so I don't know how modern surgery would differ but it is something you might want to talk to your doctor about.

could be a few answers to your question.

The exact position should also be determined by your bone structure, after all the front part of the vagina usually sets up on tissue on the pubic bone, the hole that is down there.

And there is a huge variance in cis vaginas.
You might simply look up pics of results.

I had PI with Kathy Rumer. My VJ is all the way back. I can't imagine it back any further. So my answer to your question is no, it is not too far forward.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

There are different forms of PI...
most North American Surgeons use a modified PI...

So impressive. Who did you watch performing SRS?
And no. It has nothing to do with the previous position of the penis. They just move the penile skin back and invert it inside where it is supposed to be.
