Revision Quieres

So I had the Periareolar/drawstring method two months ago, unfortunately I built up a crazy amount of fluid which now me and my surgeon have agreed I'm pretty much gonna need a revision in a month. He said that he'd be removing more skin and I presume the tissue that's build up a little underneath.

With the dates set and everything I'm just a bit worried (It's only a week before I go back to college) It will be a stay over and under General Anaesthesia.

Now what can I expect? There's like no information I can find on revisions (especially the peri) How is the recovery? How similar will recovery be to the initial operation? Will I risk the chance of fluids building up again? Also do you think I'll be okay to go back in time? How long will I have to wear the nasty surgical binder? Anyone whos had a revision can help me out? Or anyone else? Sorry so many questions I just want to know everything I can get on this

I didn't respond because my situation wasn't quite the same as yours.

I had a revision at about 3 months post op due to some scar tissue that pulled one side kind of wonky. Mine was done under a local anesthetic in the office. It was about 3.5 hours of him moving things around and he also did some lipo on the other side.

My recovery was definitely easier than the first one. I only had to bind for the first week. I did still have essentially the same restrictions as the first surgery. With any surgery, there will be a risk of fluid build up. I had issues with fluid with my first surgery but did not have any issues at all with my revision.

The problem is that while the first surgery is pretty standard, revisions typically are very customized to the individual as those who need a revision usually need them for very different reasons. So it kind of makes it hard to compare.
