Just introducing myself and I might just go on a much needed rant. I'm Shane, 14, and I'm ftm trans! This is all a new process for me because I never knew transitioning was physically possible until 3 months ago. Surprisingly enough I have already set up an appointment for blood work, and to see a therapist! I am so thankful for this to be happening so soon because I have read stories of other guys and girls where it takes years. However, because my parents and I don't know the exact steps on how to go through with my transition I'm on lots of limitations. For example, I can't let any of my family know who I am besides my parents. This means my brothers have no clue what is going on, and that can be difficult at times. We were planning on telling my grandparents, but recently my grandfather had a stroke so we decided it was best to wait. I completely understand why, but from another perspective I was thinking to myself, "what if they never know who I really am before they leave?" This is all just adding up day after day, and my parents won't let me bind. But between you and I am working on making a temporary binder, and hopefully getting help from support groups that give away binders. Enough ranting for tonight, thank you for reading. If there are any of you in Indiana, whether it be ftm or mtf, I would love to talk! See you guys later!
