Changing name yet again?

Long story short, I've changed my name twice from my birth name during my transition after periods of confusion, peer pressure, then soul searching and advice from friends/family.

I'm certain that the judge in my county of my state of residence 99% won't allow me to change my name yet again... but does anyone know how/where I might be able to legally change my name again?

Perhaps just pay a lawyer to petition it for me?

I believe you have to petition in the county of the state that you currently reside in. A lawyer might not be a bad idea, but you will almost certainly need to explain why you want to change names an additional time. Hugs

I don't think they can legally stop you from changing your name, as long as you aren't doing so with the intent to commit a crime and the name you want to change to isn't offensive. If the judge doesn't allow it, you should be able to appeal to someone higher up.

As long as you can pay the associated fees with the name change and fulfill all of the other requirements in your county, legally they have to grant the change.
