Am I dilating right?

I had my surgery 28th May this year, have been dilating three times a day for the first two months and twice a day since then. Within the first month, the shape had become easier to see and I realised that the hole I was dilating into didn't look like the vagina itself but rather a sort of "dip" underneath (its very hard trying to explain in words what I mean). I sent an email to the surgeon and sent an image (since he told me too if I had any questions) and he said it "looked fine" but I am still not confident. Still, it's very hard to get a full view of it all myself especially when dilating so I could not clarify exactly where the dilator is going but from what I can gather, it looks like just below the vagina where the skin meets, there is a sort of "tunnel" where the skin goes inwards and concaves. When I do dilate I do notice that it looks like the only viable place to dilate but the worry is that that was caused by dilating the way I have. Its a very strange thing that I have not seen anybody talk about but I cant be the only one who's had this issue... I hope that it's nothing more than paranoia on my end... any ideas?

Sounds absolutely normal to me. Stop worrying. What you are describing in the introitus and fourchette of the vagina which opens BELOW the vulva and curves in to the body and anteriorwards in most women.

(There are a few who are retroflexed but that would be unusual for someone trans).
