MatHope

Hi~

I have recently started on Testogel and have just done my 10th dose this morning. I am aware that it will make my menstrual cycle stop after around 4-6 months, however I have already lost mine before starting T.

I haven't had a period for about 88 days now and no spotting or signs of it returning. I'm certainly not complaining about it haha, but I'm curious as to why it's just disappeared by itself. I have not had any medication to stop it or have any chance of being pregnant.

I did go through a time where I ate barely anything, but I have increased my food habits since then and am eating reasonably well now. I'm not sure if low food intake for about 6 months would do anything to periods but thought I should mention it. Also, my Oestradiol level is 50 pmol/L when I had my bloods done for T.

Has anyone else had their menstrual cycle stop without T or know what could of happened?

Thanks all (:

MatHope,  It is well known that being underweight will stop ones periods.  I your case just how much underweight you were and whether you have gained enough to restart them before starting Testogel is another unknown.  Just let us hope that you have had your last one and will not have to done with another one ever.

I'm not sure if I'm underweight, but I might be. I'm 5'7" (170cm) and my scales still say 53/54kg which is about 8.3 stone I think. And yeah I hope it is the last one, I've missed 3 now.

MatHope, based on your height/weight your BMI is 18.2. This falls into the underweight category. I agree with mm, that is likely the culprit. Hopefully they don't return for you though!

Ah ok, there is probably a strong chance of it being related to weight loss then. I don't really look underweight but I suppose I could be seeing it differently myself. I sure hope so haha, T will stop it soon anyway.

Thanks for helping guys (:
