Halloween memories or new plans anyone?

Another thread reminded me of how much I once looked forward to Halloween.  As a kid we could anticipate bags of candy for our efforts while a simple sheet was a ready costume where I could be unrecognizable.  My big family knew which homes gave out the nickel candy bars (huge at the time) and what neighborhoods to avoid.  We scarred ourselves silly and roamed the night as free as could be.  Then as a young adult I found it to be the perfect time to wear a girl's cat suit or that princess outfit.  What a lot of fun!

So now our neighborhoods are quieter and kids need escorts everywhere while adults party on.  What memories or plans do you entertain for this spooky holiday?

I'll probably be spending it with my nieces and nephews, if I can convince my parents to let me dress up in a girl's costume I will do so; but otherwise I will just try to enjoy the night as I usually do.

I always was into the gorey side of halloween so every year since I was of age to participate I've been doing that annual zombie walk, its always tons of fun xD ..Oh and watch nightmare before christmas with my niece we are both huge fans of Jack Skeleton.

Having some kids around can sure amp up the sparkle and fun factor!  Hope you do get into that girl's costume.  It's just for fun right?  Or do your parents already know how you feel?

I cant remember what kind of outfit it was I was thinking of but I reember I wanted to get realy creative. Oh yes, Lightning, that is one of my favourite Lightning outfits from (Lightning Returns)

And last year, I got to Be Kitty :) Before last year, I did proudly wear, my nieces Cat ears when she got fed up wih it digging in to her head.

But, the look on her face last year when she turned towards me with bright eyes saying, does that mean we can dress the same this year :), that was all the incentive I needed.

I'm going to the Danzig Halloween show.  I don't need a costume, just a lot of black and some gothy boots.  Kids don't trick-or-treat here because it's too far up in the hills, so no crazy decor for me.  Well, no more than the usual.  ;D

Here too! I have always been a scare junkie I love being scared(movie and haunted houses wise) so I'll always check out a good haunted house around my area. I have heard there are really good ones in the US that have waiting lines and you have to sign a permission/health forms.

I'm out to my parents as a trans woman already; but they aren't really accepting yet. Still, I do hope I can get into that girl's costume, but I'll find a way to enjoy the day if I can't.

this year I think I might just wear a costume for the first time in more than a decade. When I came out to people I was often asked if I dressed up as a girl for halloween each year because its easy to get away with and I always tell them its the opposite, this is not a game of dress up and it would feel wrong to me to do something like that because it is not a costume it is me.

now this year having just transisioned I am thinking of finally getting to wear a woman's costume unfortunatlly I don't have a body conductive to most costumes. I have also considered going as a female version of normally male character, its going to be a lot of thinking.

Well I'm not giving up. Not for that part of me that hates myself. That part wants me to wither and die. not for you. Never for you.  --Loki: Agent of Asgard

Serena your body is perfectly fine girl! wear whatever you feel more comfortable in, tho I can agree with you at a point halloween doesn't really offer a big selection to the more curvy girls mind you I am FTM and wouldn't wear one but I do love a nice curvy girl and they should explore those options when selling their products.

My body is far from fine. But like most girls I aim to find cloths that hide the worst of it. That picture is sorta far away so the up close is not as flattering. The dress hides my lack of waist, hips or butt. Without those clothing options are very limited, wearing much larger tops to bottoms and needing bottoms that flair out to hide things limits things, pants are too painful to even think about wearing right now. My lack of breasts also causes problems as can be expected nothing that I can't wear a bra under will work.

So ya lots of clothing that just can't work and lots of costumes that are impossible.

Now I just have to get the right panties, garter belt, stockings, and heels.  And do something with my hair.  And organize a party where I can actually wear it, lol.
