Anybody paying any attention to Franklin Graham?

Billy Graham's son appears to be on some gender issue crusade these days. At least a couple times a week, he is making some comment on gender related subjects. Apparently he believes that this is the new frontier for his personal fight with the devil. I have trolled him a few times but so far I have only gotten responses from his sock puppets.

I think it's great that I have been empowered by Graham and his ilk to destroy "the moral fabric of society*" by merely existing.  I believe he's beating the drums right now because the church is very low on revenue and we're the low-hanging fruit du jour.

And I think it's awesome that it was totally the devil all along.     Maybe I should put this sign on my front door as a warning to unsuspecting proselytizers?

These people sell snake oil. They know exactly how to play to the frailties of their audience. There are a lot of people in the world who need a considerable amount of order, structure, and continuity. They also need to feel empowered in a world where they are just cogs in one giant wheel. The preachers know exactly how to cut, paste, and shoehorn the message to fit all those needs.

Given how the wind of change is blowing in our general direction, this sort of tactic may backfire on the haters. We can hope anyway.

Franklyn Graham makes a million a year doing what he does.  He seems to know what his paying public hungers for.  They don't feel like the "good" guys unless you set up someone as the "bad" guy.  Franklyn has also targeted ALL Muslems as well.  Not just the bad ones.  If you are a snuff dipping, 6th grade drop out, drinking moonshine from a mason jar person (see Duck Dynasty for example) then you have to find someone to degrade and ridicule and somehow place them lower on the scale than your paying audience.  It was Blacks, then interracial couples, then divorced woman.   We're the only ones left.
