Ameilia Pond

Hey everybody :)

Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Ameilia and I am new to the site.

I have been browsing and reading your stories for the last few weeks and have decided to officially join the site.

As of 30 min ago, I scheduled my first appointment to start HRT and I could not be more excited. I am 38 years old, which I know could be a bit of a disadvantage, but I am hopeful that my young appearance will work in my favor.

I have read many of your stories and they have been quite a joy to read. I hope in the net future, that I can start to share my stories with you all.

I am also looking for a few friends since I don't know many transgender females and would love to start some new friendships, even if they are from a great distance in the world.

Congratulations on your new direction. I'm sure you'll do wonderfully. As long as you can see your own inner beauty, the magic of makeup can bridge the gap transitioning until the hormones really kick in. I've been doing drag for a while and swear by the stuff.  :)

Very happy to be the first to post and welcome you.
At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)

Thanks VM and Harley. I am happy to be here.

Hey Harley, I am eventually going full transition, but was looking into doing drag shows. I was a theater/music major growing up, so I always thought that would be a blast.

I will want to pick your brain later on :)

Any time. :)  And if I don't know, I have a pretty strong network to find out in short order.

Although, if you're really a girl... it's not really "drag". It's more like a stage performance. :P

I definitely need a makeup 101 class at some point.

Though I'm not really shy. I could go to the MAC counter and get tips and I wouldn't be that nervous about it. Lol

Hi Amelia,

Welcome aboard from another Oregonian who is enjoying the success of our recent rain dance.  You might consider coming out to Astoria for our Rocky Horror Show party night.  With your theatre experience you would fit right in and we are looking for volunteer performers who can do it on roller skates!  We also have an annual Dragalution show produced by local folks that are all volunteers.  Like Portland we too have a Q Center and a Transgender support group.

Congratulations for the HRT move.  Glad you joined and looking forward to seeing you around.

@Tessa Not sure if I can make that one, but I will definitely keep an eye out for the next one. Too much real world work for me right now. New clothes and makeup don't come for free unfortunately. Lol

Hi Ameilia,
Welcome, from another Oregonian, and congrats on getting to start HRT soon! I've only been on HRT for 3 months, and it seems to be a good fit so far.
Best wishes on your transition, and it is nice to see there are a few people from the Beaver State here!

Welcome Amelia,
I wish you luck with your HRT. As another transwoman in her 30's I hope to start hrt soon. I have my first appointment with a gender therapist in eight days and they will refer me to an endocrinologist for the hrt.
I would love to take part in a theatre production, I haven't been in one since I was a child.

Welcome once again.
Hugs,
Bobbi

30 days till my first appointment. I was lucky enough to find someone who will he my PCP and do the HRT.

So less people I have to go see. He comes highly recommended, so I am hoping all goes well.

A hearty welcome to Susan's, Ameilia. Congratulations on beginning HRT soon. It will be an interesting journey so enjoy the trip. Thirty eight is not too old to start becoming the person you want to be. I came out at fifty six. I' m 67 now and have never been happier.

:)

Hi Ameilia!
I started transition at 39. I learned most of my makeup stuff watching Goss Makeup Artist on you tube. He has sooo many good videos. I don't know any trans people and have just started posting on here myself. Looking forward to hearing about your transition!
  •

Ameilia Pond

@gennee Thank you very much.

@Abby Your makeup is wonderful. I will definently look into those videos. I did theater growing up, so makeup isn't unusual for me. If you ever want to chat more, let me know. I would love to make some real life friends. Don't have any that are TS, so I come here to read stories and learn more.

28 more days !
