"HILLSBORO, MO (KTVI) – Students walked out of class on Monday morning over a transgender pupil's right to use the women's locker room. About 200 Hillsboro High School students held their demonstration after 3rd period for about two hours."

It's gotta suck having huge school disrupting protests break out over your right to change in the locker room. Poor girl just wants to go to class and...well, not be the cause for protests, I'm sure.

But oh hey, we have this other bathroom for you to use that's totally separate but equal. You're not a second class citizen at all!
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Sighs.

All wanting to pee comfortably.

And yet that is why its so difficult.TF

A transwoman in the womans, creats for some of them, the very thing said transwoman goes there to avoid.
And thats why its so hard for me to face this problemb, at timeS i FEEL as though the only soloution to this probemb is to say, this side matter more, when the truth is nether is more important.

But when your faced with, the very real situation of to help this person with an issue, it creates the same issue in another, somthing different does need to be done. But what? Thats what does it.

Im realy nieve on this subject, I cant see a fair way forwards. And thats why for the most part I cant face it. But when I think about it, the problemb is caused by society impression of us. So adress that maybe?

At work, The first time I went to the toilet, I asked if ther was a disabled toilet or a toilet neutral in some other way. That worked for a while. Untill, said toilet was having work done. I couldnt go.

Now, every single woman I worked with said to me, "just use the ladies" I said my gender isnt changed legaly yet, and to use the ladaies, is a breach of the law. The unified reaction was, thats not fair. Any way, the next day, the signe of the ladies said STAFF. (the male staff didnt use it)

Now after the work was completted, the disabled toilet was labeled, staff and disabled toilets and baby changing area. Now all female staff use that toilet aswell as me. all male staff use the gents. You dont have to use this one on my account I said.

But the responce was, your one of us, and we should pee together and were not about to let a silly law stop you from peeing with us :) I think my benifit is, all the woman I share that toilet with, welcome me. On a larger scale when it impossible for everybody that uses it to know you, its a much more comlicated matter.

Like a school for example, Its impossible for any child to know and be known by all of the fellow pupils. The difference is plain to see, when they point out, the demonstrators were in two distincs groups.

Those that know and accept her identity, and those that know of her and only accept their opinion or another opinion of them.

"Let's all get together and make that already marginalized person feel even more uncomfortable and unwelcome than she already does."

Sometimes I'm embarrassed for my species.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Suzi-Your ability to hit it with just the right comment never ceases to amaze me. Yes our species is amazing for its hypocrisy.

I also wonder how many of those girls protesting aren't even virgins since something like half of all high school students aren't, so it seems hypocritical to be complaining about never having seen male bits. And all the news stories today that one third of younger people today identify as not100% heterosexual, I dare say another good percentage don't really care.

Arrrgh!

Controversy over bathroom access for transgender teen divides Missouri town

http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/03/living/missouri-transgender-teen-feat/index.html

CNN/By Emanuella Grinberg, CNN Updated 1:06 AM ET, Fri September 4, 2015

"CNN)—Missouri transgender teen Lila Perry began to feel like a girl when she was 13 and started appearing as one in school this year when classes began in August.

The 17-year-old Hillsboro High School senior wears skirts, makeup and a long wig styled with bobby pins. She even started using the girls' locker room to change for gym class, despite the school's offer of a single-occupancy restroom.

"I am a girl. I am not going to be pushed away to another bathroom," she told CNN affiliate KPLR. "It wasn't too long ago white people were saying, 'I don't feel comfortable sharing a bathroom with a black person' and history repeats itself."
