Hi,

I'd like to hear everyone's experiences on progresterone.   I've been debating adding progesterone to get the best results possible for breast growth

My doc says there is no evidence that it does anything,  but maybe that's just because there haven't been the right studies?

Also any risks with P?

Thanks for your help.

I've been using it twice a day since the beginning (nine months) so I can't really compare with it and without it.

Nothing bad has happened with it and changes seem to be occurring as they should.

The only downside is that it's really expensive.

There are two kinds of progesterone.
Bioidentical progesterone stimulates receptors in the breasts, brain and other places.
And it has some antiandrogen effects.

It might help with form of breasts, some say it helps with roundness, avoiding a conical form.
It might also help even out some side effects of estrogen. It complements estrogen.

I personally like it. It helps my skin and hair, they are drier without it and lifeless. Improves my mood and sleep. Improves my overall energy levels as well. Reduces water retention from estrogen, I think. Improves appetite.

There is evidence out there. I have several studies indicating its benefits and some doctors just don't have the time or take the time to seek it out. It promote development of certain breast structures, protects against neuronal damage, improves mood/memory, is anti-depressant/anxiolytic for some, can help with additional fat distribution, increases oil production making hair/skin softer and nails stronger. Is a diuretic, can counter water retention. No androgenic effects.

Usually mild, such as nausea, dizziness, sleepiness, too much can cause depression, bloating in some, interestingly! Always read those side-effects exclusively noted with progesterone, not with other progestins to get an accurate picture.

Some like progesterone, some hate it!

I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

I started taking generic bioidentical progesterone (generic prometrium) last week once a day, at night before bed.

No issues with depression.
My moods are better.
No bad side effects with blood glucose.
My breasts are starting to hurt again.
I swear they are even slightly bigger as my 34B bra is a bit too small now.
I am extremely hungry.
Skin feels better and is not as dry
Hair is not as dry anymore

So far so good.

It's not expensive at all. $5 covers my dose and insurance pays the rest. Cash it's about $43.
