I went to the Tavistock today and my talky person there said I need to be referred to adult services soon so idek how to find a gic in england that has a reasonable waiting time but shees one of then was like a year and a half and that is a long time and I want to cry. I'll probably end up going to the Nottingham one or something.
Another thing that is icky about this stuff is that my music class are planning on performing in Paris and my passport still says my old name and has long hair me on and is probably insanely out of date idk. I could apply for a new one but that will still say f on it and that is the same reason I don't have a provisional licence because I don't want stuff to say f on it but I can't get it changed to m unless I have a gender recognition certificate and I have to be 18 and lived as male for 2 years with proof so I guess next year in June my deed poll name change will have been two years and I'll be 18 but I'm dirt poor and apparentlŷ it costs like £140 and I can't afford that I'm dirt poor and my name change was like £90 and I'm I don't know I'm stressing I can't even I don't understand anything I don't want to be a grown up I hate being grown up and I wish I were normal it would be so much easier and idont know what to do

Well you might simply use your passport if its still valid... a lot of people change hair style etc...
if necessary you might say you are transgender...

keep on keeping on...

Hey buddy, sending support from Scotland! I'm afraid the GICs all over the country are pretty much the same in terms of waiting times, it's awful...

I just wanted to point out that it's easier than you think to get your name and gender changed on your passport and drivers licence (not much less expensive, though)! For the passport, you can use a GRC as a proof of gender change, but you can also just send them your deed poll and a doctors note (saying you'll be this gender for the rest of your life blah blah). I think it's about £80 for a new passport, but don't quote me.
As for the licence, you don't actually need to change your gender at all. The way the licences work is they have like a special "code" for male and female - they change around the numbers in your Driver Number (i think that's what it's called?) depending on whether you're "male" or "female", it doesn't explicitly say your gender anywhere on the licence. I just changed my name on my licence by sending my deed poll, didn't see the need to change the gender as no one would notice unless they knew the code!

Hope that's helped you in some way, all the best!
