"Pope Francis has yet to set foot in the U.S. but already officials are walking on eggshells as controversy brews around his visit.

The Vatican is taking issue with several guests invited by President Obama to the pope's welcome ceremony, including a transgender man, a gay pastor and a nun whose views on abortion buck church teaching.

That's the report out today by Catholic Online, a news outlet dedicated to all things Catholic."

It never ceases to amaze me how the President seems to go out of his way to offend Christians. Generally with a state visit you try to make nice, nice. Inviting people who would openly disagree with the Pope just seems going above and beyond the call of trying to offend.

If he was hosting a visit ayatollah, do you think he'd serve bacon and eggs with  mimosas for breakfast?

Sheesh!
