Looking for Information on the Death of Erin Vernon

Earlier this month a transwoman by the name of Erin Vernon was given improper care at a hospital in Denton, Texas and died as a result. Her parents published the obit under her birth name and completely ignored her transgender status. There is very little information available save for what was on a Facebook post. I'm looking for anyone who knew her and has information on the specifics which led to her death. Please send me a private message or respond in this thread if you can assist me in this.

Hi - this sounds very sad. I wouldn't say it's a fear but but I do worry that my family would treat me like this too. 

Anyway, this is what I dug up.

Her obit
Her Facebook - judging by her profile pics she was coming along really well.
Her musical bio - seems she was into fairly hardcore rock/heavy metal.

Not a lot to go by but might give you some leads and contacts, hope that helps.

Sorry for replying so late to this but I just saw it and I just joined so I can't send messages.  I had to reply since Erin was a close friend of mine and I'm still angry over what happened to her. I don't know if you still need information, and I'm not sure how much I can help but I might can point you in the right direction.

I can"tell help but get angry when a young attractive person with like interests passes under questionable circumstances. Where is the investigation?
