After the first change is made you will continue to use your current login. You will receive an email activation after the second change is made. Responding to it will cause your new login to become valid.

The name is available. Do you want it capitalized or all lower case? Is your e-mail on the forum current and working? (A name change involves your having to re-activate the account via e-mail.)
