I've been on T for about a year and 3 months now and recently decided to get Mirena, because my anxieties ans dysphoria surrounding the possibility if getting pregnant. I thought it was a good option until I have the time and money to get a hysto.

I did my research and asked my endo and primary care doctor about it. Everything I've seen and everything I was told by my doctors is that it shouldn't effect anything. That the progesterone in Mirena doesn't really go through your entire system and stays fairly localized. Even if it does get into your system it's not enough to have an effect.

Well, I've had it for almost a week now and noticed today my overall body temperature feels warmer. I remember experiencing similar effects when I first started T, but they're not quite like the hot flashes I experienced. Either way I'm a bit worried that maybe it really does effect hormones systematically because of it. Besides that though, everything else is fine.

Does anyone have any experience with the Mirena IUD while being on T? Or have any knowledge about it? Or can point me to a place where I can find people with that experience? Any kind of advice or help is really appreciated.

Any hormonal changes in the body, no matter how localized can caused fluctuation in things like body temperatures.I honestly have never heard of any one being on T and with an IUD. Since you've spoken to your doctors and they were the ones who made it possible, I would say that they probably know what they are doing. However, if you have any concerns or notice anything with your body you should either contact your doctor or seek a second opinion.
