Hi Marlee,
Mariah is right. Everyone responds differently. Let me start off by saying I am 58 years old. I started on the lowest possible dose of spironolactone and finasteride June 30th. I could not detect any changes. Six weeks later, my endo upped the spiro and finasteride dose, and added a low dose estradiol patch. This time I noticed an definite increase in fullness in my pectoral region (I won't call them breasts just yet). After another six weeks, my endo doubled the spiro and estradiol dose. I haven't noticed any increase in fullness, but my nipples are definitely getting bigger. No change in the areolar region, though, and no tenderness, or breast buds. I started estradiol on August 13th, so it hasn't even been two full months. However, I am noticing a lot of peach fuzz and hair regrowth in my scalp after three full months on finasteride, which is wonderful. (I have about a Norwood type IV male pattern baldness.)
Patience, girlfriend! We will get there!
