Recently there has been a lot of debate on the forum about different types of forehead surgery, in particular type I (shaving and grinding down of the bone without a reconstruction) and type III (sinus wall-reconstruction). I was wondering what all the different types actually were? Personally I will be having a so called type 2: Shaving of the orbital rims, grinding down the sinus wall and filling-in the holes of the wall with bone segments that come from the orbital rims, perhaps also filling in concavities with bone cement to make everything smooth but I don't know for certain yet. Are there girls on here who had the type 2 that I am having?

Side note: The well known ffs-surgeon who recommended this type also performs the type 3 however he said that I did not require it.

Hi Janice, as a matter of interest, was it a Mexican surgeon that told you that you did not need a type 3 ?

No it was not, it was an European surgeon. I have read the other thread :)
