"The BBC is keen to make more of trans-based comedy series Boy Meets Girl, after the show wrapped up its first run this week.

The show revolves around the developing relationship between 40-year-old trans woman Judy, played by trans actress Rebecca Root, and 26-year-old Leo. "

:)  Ditto, I do still need to watch but all the reviews and fans sound quite positive
You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space.

I have so enjoyed watching 'Boy meets Girl'......it worked on so many levels; the simplicity of a couple in love and the utter conventionality of their attraction; with occasional situational 'hiccups' in their relationship, humorously contrasting with their somewhat 'different' families, which made the lead characters seem so emotionally well-rounded, comfortable as a couple, and the revelations as Leo`s family`s gradual understanding and acceptance was revealed.

At last; an engaging {and by incident, educational}, kindly depiction of the loving, funny and very-human beings we all can be; and that some of us funny, humans in love, just happen to be/have-been trans.

Bravo BBC!!!

I really hope Boy Meets Girl will return, as it caught my attention from the moment I saw an interview on YouTube with Rebecca Root promoting the upcoming series a few weeks ago. Due to my schedule, I decided to wait until all six episodes had aired before watching them online... I was not disappointed! Very much down to earth, mostly hilarious with a few heartbreaking moments in between, I've seen it described as Gavin & Stacey with a twist, which is quite accurate. Since my significant other really loved that show, I'm looking to see if she can spare a night with me for another marathon - getting her to take a night off studying won't be easy, though. Anyway, the BBC really did hit this one out of the park, with my only complaint the bombshell opening. I won't give away any spoilers for those who may be planning to catch this in the future (as the DVD, which I'm hoping to get, is out tomorrow), but viewers are "in on the secret" from the very beginning, the most revealing scene repeated again later. To summarise, this comes about as highly recommended as it's possible to get.
