Hi everyone! To introduce myself my name is Blake. I am a 23 year old trans man. I am currently 3 weeks on testosterone. I started a blog about my transition hoping people could relate to it and that it would make others feel like they are not alone. It's www.findingblake.tumblr.com

I'm battling depression and alcohol dependency which is part of dealing with being transgender and part of dealing with an abusive mother growing up and not having a father. It's been a roller coaster ride, but I feel like things are finally looking up. I'm finally starting to heal. I graduated college with a bachelor's degree in math and I am about to move out of my aunt's house and find my place in the world by moving to New York City in December. I hope my story can help people and that I will have some role in helping advance the LGBT community!

I wish you all the best Thomas with starting T soon. If you are looking for the right place, I chose a place that was "informed consent" meaning you don't have to get delayed by having to go through a therapist before you can get prescribed T. I go to a community health center in New York City that does informed consent and I had one intake appointment and the next appointment I just gave my "informed consent" by signing a form and I got prescribed T on that second visit.
