Hi, my transitioning name is Joanna if anyone doesn't know me and I'm also 18. So I've just gotten my ID this week and after I get my GED I don't know what kind of job would be good enough to pay for my hrt. May anyone suggest anything? I would put my state but someone may snoop around lol.(oh well MD is the state)

Walmart is one of many companies that are trans friendly and have good insurance that will help with the medical cost. We have several people who work there and have only good things to say about the place. If you are a hard worker, promotions come fast and your pay will increase with your promotions.

Insurance will reduce the out of pocket expenses so you don't need as much income. Look for LGBTQ friendly companies as they may offer the same benefits.

You might also look into nonprofits. There is a website called Idealist that lists jobs, internships, and volunteer positions with non-profits around the country. Looking into nonprofits specifically dedicated to helping LGBT groups would be a good idea.
