I started HRT in late July this year (around the 28th) and by late September had noticeable boobs. They aren't really a cup size as such, but they are bigger than buds and obvious under tight t shirts. Before starting HRT most of what I'd heard seemed to indicate that proper breast growth (beyond nipples) took several months to start. Is this quick growth normal?

For some yes, It can differ for each of us. I started out somewhat quick too, but you will go in spurts most likely. Hugs

Boob growth is different for each of us. I had that sort of growth and had the buds growing over my pec muscles and very visible with certain tops in the first year. I thought for sure I would have a B cup. However, your muscles will disappear on HRT - especially the pecs and all I had were the bud and a flat chest. Only now has the growth replaced the lost pec muscles. Alot of body changes will occur and there is so much help on this site.
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

It may not be typical, but it is normal. I had visible growth and tenderness in the first week. This doesn't necessarily mean they'll be bigger, mind you; the speed at which they grow doesn't change the final size.  (And I second the fact that it usually goes in spurts.) It does possibly change how much time you have to plan to come out, though.

I knew one girl in middle school who left for the summer flat-chested and came back with boobs. I used to wonder how that was possible. ;)

The first three months were the best, when you see and feel the budding process almost every day.  But don't be discouraged when they seem to inevitably stop for possibly months at a time.  Sometimes growth isn't noticeable later on when things are "filling in", especially once the budding is over.

Great to hear .... I was close to an A before starting HRT.  What I can't quite tell right now?  I've been working on losing weight. Meaning, the stomach is shrinking but the breasts aren't, and the nipples are just a bit more erect than they were.   I don't think there's real growth yet .... but who knows.  Not sure how dieting and HRT will impact the process.

Yeah I just hit my 6 month mark and it seemed like right at around month 2 my nipples started to hurt and puff up, and then it just continued. In the same time I work out regularly and it feel likes I have man boobs most days but other day they will be sort of coney like. Other days like today I look like I never started homrones lol.
