Hi all...

Where do I begin?  This is my first post after lurking for years...  I am a 44 yo biological white male (MTF).  I am only just beginning to address my "gender identity issues", hence the subject line "newly" tg.

Like many others, I've had these feelings that I'm not "right"... I've never felt quite male, but not especially female either.  My sexual preference is "confused" - a repressed bisexual...

I've done the "usual" male things: military service (discharged for homosexuality); married, and divorced, twice; uptight and macho...   I'm not very comfortable being "girly", either.

I've wanted to act on my feelings for "forever", but never really have.

I don't want to go on and on because I feel like I'm whining...

Anyway, I hope to learn more about myself and learn how to be me.

it is very nice to meet you Jamie you should feel right at home here confussion is the main staple for alot of us!! as far as you not being very comfortable being girly this really means nothing my wife is anything but girly and if I had ever tried to make her girly I would not have to worry about getting SRS as she would have removed my birth defect herself! but that doesn't make her any more or less of who she is!! I hope that you enjoy this site as much as I have!

Hi Jamie2B,

Nice to meet you.

the 2B makes me think of pencils. 2B is quite a solid color no? Bit stronger than an HB, but not so dark that you get a soft point... yeah, I was born this way  ;D

Hi Jaime,

I'm happy for you that you are willing to take the time to become who you really are.  You may be very surprised at what you find.  I had a tough time for a while, but since the dust has settled, I feel better than ever.
It takes a lot of courage to stop and look at yourself in the way that we have to do.  I was more afraid of myself than I was of the rest of the world.

    Welcome,

Rebis

Hi Jamie
Welcome to Susan's. Hey at least your joining with us and sharing with us is a start to just simply maybe take a look with in. Things might be kind of whako to you now but you will learn what suits you and what doesn't. I am 62 years of age and didn't really start transition 53 years old and started full time when I was 55 then had the surgery four years go. You will find a few other late comers here. This is my second visit to Susan's since 7 years ago. Just relax, there is no real need to rush getting into things right now.

Hi Jamie!

I just wanted to welcome you from one newbie to another. :)
Like you, it took me many years to admit my true feelings, and lots of agonizing over taking the first step,
So you can stop worrying now. You're among friends.
Everyone here is very supportive, as I'm sure you'll find out, and theres so much help and information to be had, you'll
wonder why you never did it years ago.

Hi Jamie and welcome; sounds like  you are done with the self-curing (joining military, marriage, etc.). Plenty of us have tried that! :-D
