I'm currently looking for a therapist, I live in southeast Michigan, and next year if I am unable to obtain a job that pays well enough I will wind up forced onto Medicaid.
I have found 2 possible therapists to contact(haven't done so yet) and both of them do accept medicaid.
I would like to hear if anyone has experience with either Tyne Kreiner, or Alisa M Hilewsky.
I would also be willing to hear recommendations or suggestions for people I could look for therapy wise so I can hopefully start my transition.

I'm also MtF

You might have a look here:

its about endos for trans people...

and you might think about changing the title of the thread... possibly including michigan so more people might read and take part...

before I think about endo I will need to find a therapist to help both me and my family with things.  That's why I want opinions of the ones I mentioned.

If you find a good one lemme know! (half kidding..)

I've seen a few: The first wasn't a gender therapist; i loved seeing her anyway. Not very reliable tho. The second was a gender one, he's ok I guess, I feel like me and him didn't really mesh all that well in terms of talking bout things. Got my hrt letter and referrals from him but it took forever; he promised em months before he did finally get around to do it. The third was just, no, lol.

I didn't see either of the ones you mentioned so I can't really help with that.

I went thru UofM for a lot of services. One of the above therapists was located there (not the third one). Didn't cost me anything to see him. I didn't have insurance when I started seeing him and I had a poor paying job so maybe that's why it was free but I dunno for sure. Anyways, here's the link to their site (I hope it's allowed?) http://www.uofmhealth.org/conditions-treatments/transgender-services

Another place to check would be at Affirmations. I haven't tried going to therapy there but I know they offer it and it is on a sliding scale I believe. http://www.goaffirmations.org/

You could also look on this page too for some, along with many other potential resources you may need: http://www.transgendermichigan.org/transpages/index.html

If you have any questions or need help with anything, feel free to pm me (when you can, after 15 posts) or ask away; hopefully I will see it and can help.
