The Advocate/By Cleis Abeni November 29 2015 5:37 PM EST

"Harrison's efforts align with that of leaders like Angelica Ross, whose TransTech initiative helps link transgender people to employment within the field. Laine Campbell is another pioneering transgender visionary who founded PalominoDB (now part of Pythian), a company that managed the databases of elite tech companies. Campbell's position as a tech industry leader was solidified when Forbes included her among a select number of emerging CEOs on its 2013 list of "Female Founders To Watch.""

Sorry, I don't see what's so inspiring about her. The fact that she's not a "brogrammer"? There are thousands of female programmers. The fact that she's trans? There are thousands of transgender programmers. The fact that she does diversity work in her company? Hardly revolutionary. A lot of out trans people do diversity work in their companies. The fact that she transitioned on the job? Don't a lot of us do that? Not sure what distinguishes her from so many others. Must have been a slow news day over at advocate.com.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I'm starting a company next year. Waiting for my article and resulting thread about it. ;D
