Hello, it's been awhile since I've posted on Susans, but I just felt like telling you all about starting using makeup on my face. It started with me getting the courage to ask my mother if she'd help me shop for some eyeliner, mascara, and shadow, after a slightly awkward pause she was just like "okay." which was really nice to hear. so then we go to the drug store, one of the cosmetics ladies asked us if we needed any help, and mom was like "No, he's just helping me find something for his sister." so we picked out some blacks/neutral colours (I'm still not ready for anything too bright  :embarrassed:   ) after that we stopped at a coffee shop to have lunch and went home.

Putting the make up on for the first time was something I tackled alone, the first few times I kind of messed up with the shading and ended up looking either really tired, or might have been dead a few hours. but now I feel like I can do it somewhat properly and I really love how big of a difference it makes to my look.

I'm still not out to anyone but my sister, however I think I'm going to keep trying to do small things like this to hint to the rest of my family, until I'm ready to make the leap. I think my next challenge is going to be how to get a more feminine hairstyle, luckily my hair has been growing out for like 8 months already, so I have a fair number of options (if anyone has some tips on how to approach a hair stylist on getting a hair style that doesn't match how you're presenting currently I'd greatly appreciate them.) Sorry to write so much about something so small, but this really made me happy.  :)

Glad you had the courage to be more yourself and ask others for help. :) It took me a very long time before I started coming out. It gets easier as it goes. I hope you continue to be yourself and be happy.  :D

My heart is with you, hun. Taking the first step is often the hardest.

I love how toes are called "feet fingers" in other languages.

If you can find a picture of the hair style you are thinking of that helps the stylist a lot. I just came right out and said I wanted it to look more feminine. Have your hair done enough times and you will find a stylist you like, its important that it is someone you are comfortable talking with as well as knowing what to do.

Yes. Eye makeup is the most important among all kinds of facial makeup. People will react to you differently.
