I'm ftm and i've been on testosterone for three years next month - woo hoo - and I have an appointment on Wednesday with a plastic surgeon to look at getting top surgery. I'm super excited.

But I am wondering how long my body will keep changing on testosterone. I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year and even he and his friends comment that I look completely different than when we started dating (and not just because I am growing a beard). I measured my shoulders this weekend and they've grown 13 inches on T - which is about three to four shirt sizes a year. (I'm healthy and trim, but I'm not working out/bodybuilding so testosterone is really the only factor in this growth, rather than eating habits or weight lifting.)

Basically, does anyone have experience with when your body plateaus and/or have an idea about when I can actually start investing in a nice wardrobe rather than constantly buying bigger and bigger clothing from the thrift store?

If it is like natural puberty then about 4 years.  After that changes will still come for about 10 more years but will be very subtle.

Love is not obedience, conformity, or submission. It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being....  - Dan Barker

As someone born male, I went through changes at 13-18 then another period at around 30! I don't know why. Bigger muscles, thicker beard etc. Not sure how it would be for ftm.
