REGARDING OKLAHOMA SUPPORT GROUPS

Hello all, 
I have been crossdressing for more than 40 years.  Oklahoma city used to have a crossdressing support group which was assoociated with TRI-ESS. . (Sigma Beta chapter)  However, it went missing and gone in the 1990's.  There is suppose to be a group, COTA (Central Oklahoma Transgender alliance)  However, the last update they list is 2004  11 years ago.   . .

Internet searches yeild little. . if anything. 

What happened in Oklahoma? I've lived here all my life, the political climate is not significantly different. .

Anyone in Oklahoma have anything to offer?

I would be tempted to start or steward a group, but I.don't have that much time. . But it would sure be nice to have a group, even internet based only where others in Oklahoma can keep in touch. . .Chat,  talk. . .

Interesting, 82 views and not a single update on any sort of crossdressing support group in the greater Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area.

Why is this?  I cannot imagine that a city of this size of 610,000 people (roughly) that there is not a respectible group of crossdressers, much less a support group. . . what gives? 

What happened to the members of the former Sigma Beta chapter of Tri-ess here?

I wondered myself if there was any such group here. I mean, not in my small little town of Warner, of course, but I thought there must be one in OKC, if not in Tulsa.

I am seriously thinking of at least making inquiry about how many people would be interested in getting togather and forming such a group. .

Well Janine,

It looks like at the moment, you and I are about it. . I suspect there is a much wider audiance we can reach by the other major crossdressing forum(s) and probably Fetlife. . I am thinking if we can get a core group of 10 or 15 people who are committed, we can make a serious go for a new support group.  Give some thought to finding other interested crossdressers in the Oklahoma city area. . .

Also, we should consider if and how we want to limit membership.  My only thought is that thing that killed the Oklahoma city Sigma Beta Tri ess group was infighting between crossdressers and a vocal transgender group. . I dont recall all the specifics. .

Let me know your thoughts. . . and if you are even interested in helping found a new group.
