HI
Hey I'm new to this forum and I haven't really been open to this until now but... im a ?? year old male and I feel that i'm feeling many of the feelings that mtf transgenders say that they feel. I've done quite a lot of reasarch on it and feel its time to talk to someone like this. When I'm old enough, I think that SRS might be a real possibility. PLz, anyone who has been through this or is thinking of it write back so I can talk about it. I really want to get my feelings out on the table get advice. Thx.

Hello there (=

Be sure to peruse the Wiki as Valerie has mentioned as there is a lot of information there, some you may already know and some you may not.

Probably the most important things to note (which you may well already know) are that:

  • You have time, you need not rush.
  • Gender is much more complicated than the simplistic binary (male or female) model we are so often taught.

If I were in your position again I'd sit down with a nice cup of coffee and start reading this forum and the wiki. ... Please feel free to join in on our conversations, tis why they are public (=

Of note, a therapist that is versed in GID related things is the best person to talk to at some point in time, but I'd definitely chat with us here for a while first.

P.s. if you have other people using your computer that would go ape to discover this site (why I've no idea but never mind that) it might be a good idea to flush your browser's cache to avoid premature discover. Personally I hate hiding but because some people do not understand this condition (birth defect) and react badly it is prudent to do so until such a time as we can educate them.

Hi there,

Welcome to Susan's. First we need something to call you besides hey you. You might consider a temporary name just to try iy out and see if it fits. You can change it later as you discover more about who you are. I take it from your post that you are one of our more youthful members. That's good. You have a lot of time to sort things out. You will find the stories of many TG youth here. You should read their threads. Their experience would be a good place to start getting answers to your questions, or figuring out what questions you would like to ask. We are a freindly bunch here and are happy to help when we can.

So, fix yourself a cup of tea or other(age appropriate) relaxing beverage, sit down take your shoes off and set a spell.

Good Journey,

Cassie

Hello Forget56,

I'm MTF and on course for SRS in the next year or so. I'm now almost 60. I knew at a very young age. Had the internet been something availible back then I would have been able to stop some of the body hair and rugged male features from developing. Maybe my life would have taken on a much different course than it did.

I'm open to talk anytime with you on what ever.

Hello,
Please do tell us about yourself.
We are not shy at handing out advice either.
I'm 55 and just sorting out my feelings too. I'm a mtf CD plus person.
Are you 56 years old. Many of us don't allow our true self to come out till we are in our 40's and 50's.
As Kate said
QuoteI might suggest that you find your sprite a name that you can take pride in.
It will help on you quest to find a name for your feminine side/feelings.
Also it would be easier for us to identfiy you with a name.
Welcome to Susan's
:)
