wore a dress in public for the first time!

So I wore a dress for the first time in public and it was awesome! I was worried about having a panic attack but after I got out of my car pretty much all my anxiety went away and no one looked at me strange or made any rude comment, it was all good! Just thought I'd share my little success story.

yes, it is awesome . I still need to go to my favorite bar in a black lace slightly above the knee low cut dress with my hair up in a bun on top and sit there and see if someone buys me a glass of wine.

That's great, I suggest you do it again as soon as you get the chance so you can normalise the experience. Before you know it your biggest problem with wearing a dress out will be "which one?"!

One problem I have with going out like this is that I have roommates who don't know I'm trans so I have to change in my car or a bathroom and then change back before coming home. I hardly ever see or talk to them we all have different schedules. I just want to avoid that awkwardness. Any tips for living with people who don't know?

Firstly, you look great, and im sure the dress looked fantastic on you! second of all, congragulations and thirdly(in reference to your roommates) it may be a little awkward but if you barely see them you could just tell them?

Thanks! [emoji3]  I just over think everything and my roommate issues are probably not going to be a big deal since they would have probably said something by now anyways. We all pretty much just keep to our selves anyways and what's awesome is that we all have our own bathroom so the only time I really see them is in the kitchen.

Seriously, though... noninteracting roommates are not worth hiding from unless you expect them to be awful humans; violent / verbally abusive.
