When my partner was younger (they're non binary) they had few relationships because not many young people could / was willing to accept or respect their gender identity, most people misgendered them and refused to respect their chosen name.
It may be easier for binary depending on 'passing' for other young people to understand, teenagers have proven to be typically more ignorant and a lot of what parents believe will influence them, so if they come from a transphobic / homophobic family, it will reflect. It sucks, and I hate saying it, but things have been tough in the past and depending on where in the world you are, things may be slow to improve, but this doesn't mean that you shouldn't try or that you should be able to date.
The only thing you can do is try it and see what happens, just remember to stay safe (in every possible meaning of the word).
