Some UK schools refusing to help up to 80 kids a year who start to transition

"Schools are "reluctant" to offer support to as many as 80 school aged children in the UK who say they want to transition.

The Mermaids charity, which provides support to young people with gender identity issues, has reported that the number of children who speak out whilst still in school has risen to as many as 80.

Susie Green, the chair of Mermaids, spoke in an interview with the Telegraph to say that many of those children go on to transition."

Hardly surprising.
it is widely reported that mental health issues in children are receiving reduced funding. The Govt is only in the NHS for those quick fixes that provide good stats. MH and LGBT issues are way off the radar... As a (mild) sufferer of MH issues I am just glad that I had the foresight to have insurance. I suspect it is not available for gender/sexuality issues and their consequences.
