Yay, not kidney failure then.  It seems exceedingly unlikely that your bones are growing.  Investigate the soft tissue in the area, and think about the organs nearby -- for example, could it be inflamed intestines?

Nope it is directly on the bone ( only skin here not much fat yet ) Both side at same exact place .it seriously is huge disconfort  . The only thing I can think of if this isnt growth is about pelvic rotation .. But still it is so early in transition . It is not the first Time that I get this pain since HRT but now it is 3x more painful

The pelvic bone will usually tilt on HRT. (It happened to me even starting HRT at 43.) The bone doesn't change, just the position. The muscle and ligament have changed and your body is adjusting to this. Some people experience some pain some don't. This is also way many of us lose some height on HRT (plus the spacing between the vertebrae shrink due to muscle/ligament changes.)

Yeah, I cant even stand straight anymore without my lower back arching to some degree. As for pain, I cant comment. 6 years in the infantry made me feel old at 27 and I'm fixing to turn 31.

This happened to me late last summer, it went on for a month or two. Then it faded away. There isn't much to be done but wait it out, like so much of transition. It will stop eventually. My but looks better now though!

Hips rotated early for me for sure. My hips hurt now and again, but I'm not sure why exactly. Shouldn't be excruciating pain though. I would talk to your doctor.

Like you, I have had pain in my butt and hips. I expected pain in my chest, but not in my behind! I've also noticed that my cheeks (on my face of course ;) ) feel sensitive too. So many new sensations come with transitioning... so many that I never really expected or fully understood until going through it myself.

I have been getting the same exact pain but it seems one side at a time for a day then it's gone for 3-5 days and then hits me again. It could be due to the fact I played a lot of different sports and tore my body up lol. But it's weird that it started 5 days in after hrt.

Pain as you described is either inflammation or musculoskelatal in nature. It could be a form of arthritis, but more likely musculoskelatal due to your hip muscles learning to walk in a more feminine manner.

Take Motrin or Naprosyn for temporary relief if the pain. Exercise the hip joints with leg lifts to the front, side and rear to strengthen those muscles. If this does not help, then see a good orthopedic surgeon for a definite diagnosis.

We have all been there to some degree more or less.

Take care

Could be partly from your walk I get hip pain no hurt yet just from feminine walking and the hip movement if u have changes in walking it can hurt a fair bit

Hi Sweetie

I hate to say it but I had that too! It took well over a year to go away and I ate more Motrin in one year than I think ever. but it did work. And funny what Sydney said is true I lost well over and 1" in height over the year.

Hug's and I hope you will feel better soon :'(

I noticed my legs are more bended inside then they used to be and that it is effortless to walk in feminine way.  I guess the pain is caused by this

This discussion caught me completely by surprise.  Over the past cpl. of mos., I started feeling pain on both sides of my hips when I walked.  It's definitely different from back pain which I have had my share of.  On a cpl. of occasions my thoughts drifted to "hip replacement" as I am in my late 60's that wouldn't be unusual.  When I read this thread it blew me away.  I had never ever considered the effects of the loss of testosterone on my hips.  Sure, I knew that testosterone loss would lead to muscle mass loss, (ie. in my arms, chest, back and legs) so why not the muscles surrounding the hips. This never occurred to me. This journey is amazing!

A few months ago I started getting pain in both hips, a few weeks after my doctor doubled my Estrogen dose, then when I raised this pain with him, he explained about the change that Estrogen was happening and that I should see a gradual pelvic shift happening with a consequent depositing of  fatty tissue to my buttocks and possibly my hips. Interestingly since he told me this is has defintly started and is much more evident with much more rounded buttocks and some thickening of the upper thighs and hips.  Also since then surprisingly I am finding in much easier to walk in High Heels - its almost as though my point of balance has changed and it is much easier too to  move my hips whilst walking.  The only issue is that very rarely I still have to sometimes present as male and I have to force myself to  try to walk more masculine. This is becoming quite difficult to achieve now that my pelvis  position has changed.
I celebrated by buying myself a new pair of Louboutin:

I had pain for a month or less then it went away. I have arthritis , but it was different in that it affected my whole hip area on both sides whereas my arthritis switches back and forth up and down. It was definitely different at about a month in to HRT.
