Hollie Stevens

Hello I'm Hollie Stevens, I'm a new member to the site and this is my first such site. I'm 55 and have been hiding from the world since I was about 6 years old. I needed a place to really open up to express my feelings. I can't keep it in any longer and need to start living my life as it was meant to be. I am 100% woman and will not fight it any longer. I have only told 1 person this so far as it is so very difficult as I'm sure you know. I have soo much to learn and hope that I can find help and support here. This is a big step in my life and feel good and excited about being able to tell someone "I'm a woman!" Hope to talk to someone soon, and thanks for letting me speak my thoughts.

Dear Hollie;

Such a pretty name.

Welcome to Susan's Place. On here you'll find many who are just like you and many of the things you wrote were just how I felt. I'm an older woman who began her transition a few years ago and as much as people begged me, I just couldn't go back to being the way I lived.

It's hard for people to accept us but things are getting better although they are slow, but one day we shall be no longer afraid to declare our true selves to the world.

I found it easier to tell people as time went on. If they accepted me, great! If not, then it's their loss as I am a good person.

You take care of yourself and someone will be along shortly to provide you with some information that will help you along the way on here.

All the best.

Love,
Clare

Welcome to Susan's Place. I transitioned long before the internet and marvel at the quantity of information available here. In addition, the people here are willing to answer questions on most any topic related to the transition. I am here to  provide my knowledge of 35 years accumulated living as a woman to anyone willing to listen. Look around and if you have questions, feel free to ask. Posting to this thread will notify me of your activity and I view your post.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Hollie,

Welcome,

I am in my 50's too. Only came to this idea fully, last year. Still struggling but trying to make a good, positive effort.

Good luck and I hope your journey is smooth.

With warmth,
