Hey, so does anyone have any experience with Testopel? I'm not on T yet, but I'm thinking about switching to Testopel once my Medicaid runs out and I have to pay out-of-pocket, because overall with the price for it in my area its much, much, much less expensive. So does anyone have any experiences?

Hi,

I don't have experience specifically, but I did want to give you some advice as far as timelines and T. Most providers who offer pellets (not all of them do) recommend that you be on T for a year at least before they will place them. That is so that they have a year's worth of data to look at in order to determine how many pellets need to be placed in order to keep you at a stable level for the length of time they last.

When I discussed it with my doctor, they hadn't started doing pellets at the office yet. And they're a pretty progressive office, so you may need to call around to find someone who actually does them. My doctor recommended a year on T plus a hysterectomy prior to pursuing pellets in order to get the most out of them.
