I feel bad for the author, but I wish we could figure out a way to get thicker skin. To classify these all as "micro-aggressions" seems to me taking offense unnecessarily. Yes, a few of them are rude, but asking about someone's past or commenting (complimenting?) them on their presentation don't seem offensive.

I'd love to hear from others, though. I tend not to mind the role of transgender educator, but it really bugs some people.

I actually love when people ask what I was born as because I love to <Not Permitted> with their heads.  I tell them all kinds of <Not Permitted> and by the time I'm done with them they are so confused they never ask again.  Most people are so ignorant about gender, biology and anatomy you can tell them just about anything and they'll believe it.

i feel like this is spot on! although i do agree that not all should be considered micro-aggression
especially the trans fetish part, ive had so many people who want to be with me just because they have some fetish for what i look like and whats in my pants and its so gross, i hate it but it happens so often that ie learned to just ignore it and move on
