Hi everyone! I'm back in the states! I want to thank all of you that kept up with me.

In regards to the healing of your scars and issues with hairline--- it would be better to post that on your own posts as not to hijack this thread.  ;)

I decided to get my lower jaw done at the last minute and some other work.

In general terms, I am beyond satisfied with the amount of care and after care I had. They went beyond the call of duty. Also, I was mesmerized by Argentina's beauty.  I'll get more into this later.

I'm still quite swollen (it's been two weeks since the last of the two surgeries), and I had more bruising than usual.

I made a few mistakes before going into surgery that I want to share with everyone.  I am hoping you can learn from me what to do and what NOT to do.

I was operated in a Private Hospital that was all state of the art and with the best nurses I have ever dealt with.  DiMaggio's team were simply incredible with me (again, I'll get into that once I'm better healed).  At one point, Dr. Dimaggio was concerned so much for me concerning an issue I was having, that, in middle of rush hour there, he jumped on his motorcycle to avoid the traffic and met up with me at the apartment with another doctor he had called!! How's THAT for service!  He genuinely cares about his patients.

My friends, were really happy with the results despite my swollen face and bruising.  Some seemed relived that I hadn't changed into a completely different person.

It's like I told my friends, "I'm just looking to create my female twin...not a different person."  They agreed.

Am I happy?  Yes, I am...although I can't wait to see the final results in a few months (6 to 8 months).

I also had the pleasure of meeting Valentina (she's on here) in person while I was there!

Ok, I have to rest.  I'll post more later and pics too.

Again, thanks to all of you that were keeping up with me.

Cheers!

I'm so thrilled to hear everything turned out so exceptionally well for you! I'm seriously considering MDM now that I have someone who is willing to stay with me while I recover!

HI everyone! Well, things have been going very very well with my ffs healing!  I've decided to show everyone on another thread. That way you won't have to fish through this thread for it.

I want to thank everyone (and you Paula) for being so kind to me and being patient with my posts.

I'll be adding the link to my new thread in a bit.

I'm sooo happy with my face!

I'm glad you found someone to stay with you.

Honestly, (and maybe because I'm middle aged), I don't know HOW I could have done it without my wife helping out.  Granted, Dr. DiMaggio, had Doctor stay overnight, with me in my hospital room while I was out of the OR, but still, having someone with you makes a HUGE difference.

Hats off to those that have been able to manage, without a friend or loved one.  It's a rough ride.  Think about it.  Your whole face has been re-arranged. So yes, it does hurt. It will hurt. But, you'll find that your own excitement and wonder about your new face, will sometimes be as strong as any pain med they give you.

I was so happy to see that the Hospital I was staying at was so nice. Honestly, probably better than any one I've been to in the USA.  That too made a difference.  And the truth is, I never thought I would like Argentina as much as I did.  I've been to Europe, and it REALLY reminded me of it.  The people were very nice too. If you have the means, I would recommend a week before surgery to go on a little tour of the city. We did a private walking tour, and I was just fascinated ( I can give you my tour guides info if you like).  Inflation is starting to even things out in the currency exchange situation, but it's still affordable.

Again, if you have any questions concerning, costs, stay, the city etc., just send me a private message on here and I'll do my best for you.

Hope this all helps!

Yes, the cost of food is higher for most Argentinians , but still affordable to U.S. Peeps.
I expected lower prices, but it wasn't such a big deal since for us it was still affordable.

If you do decide to go check out the exchange rate.

I would recommend renting an apartment through air B and B. Ours was $1100.00 for a month and some days. Then maybe cook there like we did to save yourself some money.

Argentina is not like some Latin countries, it's very ahead of the game in many ways, but it's still going through some growing pains politically and economically...but then, we are to here in the U.S.

Feel free to message me or post here with your questions and I'll do my best to answer you.

Hugs
