I'm new to this site, and joined hoping to gain some semblance of "community" as there's not much around in terms of trans resources/ meetings.  I'll also state upfront that I'm very trans-positive - I've had issues on other sites with people really not liking this so, that's why I'm putting it here now. :icon_wave:

Let's see, about me...  I'm a post-op trans man.  I started T last summer, and had top surgery a few months ago (not planning other surgeries).  I'm still very much in the grips of medical transition as I'm not even a year on T.  I'm in my second year of graduate school, and alternate between obsession and procrastination with that  ::).  If you like art, philosophy, history, literature, or science - talk. to. me.   ;D

Most of my "free time" is spent with friends, writing, or painting.  I'm not particularly athletic (not at all athletic), and I despise going to the gym, but I know that I need to get back to doing something physical once I'm totally healed from surgery (thinking of taking up martial arts).  Entertainment-wise, a few things that I'm particularly a fan of are: music - Led Zeppelin, Lindsey Sterling, and Lana Del Rey; movies - Life of Pi, Beasts of No Nation, and The Fountain; TV - Sherlock, Man vs. Wild, and the L Word.  I don't like video games, but I do like some (older) anime shows (like Cowboy Bebop and Kikaider).

So, yeah... that's me.  I'll post in the general trans forum about my transition thus far.

Ciao,
Josh

Welcome to Susan's Place. You will find the FTMs pretty much hang out in the FTM section and are pretty friendly and helpful. You are free to explore and post anywhere in the site you feel comfortable doing so. The moderation on this site is pretty heavy and we try to keep disagreements from happening but if you should see an issue, hit the report to moderator button on the lower right hand corner of the post in question. If a moderator is currently online, the post will be reviewed pretty quickly. If none of the moderators are active, the first thing we to when we return is to check for pending problems.
Should you have any questions or problem you would like to discuss with a moderator, feel free to contact us. For now posting on this thread will get my attention but after 15 post, you will be able to contact anybody by PM.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Thanks for the words of welcome.  I will probably post more in the general trans forums rather than exclusively in the FTM forum - I really don't like feeling segregated.  ;)

They aren't segregated but they might be a little afraid of all the man hungry women running around the rest of the site.  ;D

Hi Josh, welcome to Susan's Place! I'm from Boston. I  think I'm the trans-positive type, too.  :)  You won't have any troubles here. Identity and expression are sacred with us. I like your take on not being segregated, too. See you around the site!

Hugs, Devlyn
