If I come to USA, continue to use ladies toilets/restrooms even if arrested.

I may come to USA. I'm a US Citizen. Haven't set foot in USA since my transition. Legally female on USA Passport. Pre-op. Lived as full-time woman for a year. British doctor's letter certifying female gender. In UK + Spain for many months I've used public ladies toilets restrooms fitting rooms for buying clothes with no issues. No ID, no second looks. Inside the USA I'll continue to use public female facilities. If asked for ID I'll show my female USA Passport. If denied I'll physically enter as is my Constitutional right. Arrest me or beat me up to stop me. They'll LOSE under Federal law in the subsequent large civil rights lawsuit I'll bring against those who arrest me. I'm sure to be represented pro-bono by LGBT-friendly lawyers. Any local law enforcement folks reading this are welcome to take notice. I won't enter a men's room. xx

And you won't even get to showing your passport because nobody cares. All these laws most people don't care and wouldn't notice.

It's a strange commentary on American values.  Your US passport can take you to any country in the world.  But all of a sudden it's a matter of public debate whether it can take you to the other side of the bathroom door.

You go, girl!  I wouldn't want to be the bathroom cop who tries to stop you!

Fortunately not every state in the USA is like the ones you are seeing in the news. But i commend you for your stand.

Thanks honey. Yes I have received some favorable replies to my post on this and other boards. Yes the USA can hold some conflicting views sometimes, can't it? xx

Fortunately not honey. I see that North Carolina just started a dispute involving the governor and the City of Charlotte over use of bathrooms.

As an American who has been living abroad for more than a decade...why are some places in the USA still in the Stone Age? xx

Well indeed honey I hope that is always true. Students in schools have recently been suspended for using the correct restroom, according to the specifics of several recent news articles, though. Legally they haven't got a leg to stand on. I would win triumphantly in any USA federal court on this issue. xx
