Hi,
New to posting. Thanks to Dena for responding to me about how to do it!  I'm a trans man aged 53, 54 in 6 days and I came out roughly a month ago. I have two kids aged 16 and 13 a son and a daughter respectively who are also trans, so Susans place seems like a good site for me.  I have so many things to ask about but in the main I just want to have some contact with people who understand what I'm going through.  My son knows I'm trans but I haven't come out to my daughter yet as she is on the autistic spectrum and finds communication very difficult. Anyway if anyone feels like being in touch I would be glad of the company .  hopefully speak to some of you soon.

Welcome to Susan's place. You are almost to the magic number of 15 where most of the features will unlock. When I got up today, I checked and you hadn't posted any questions so I figured you would get to it latter or perhaps you hadn't seen my message, I am glad that you found what you needed. The site has a limited number of very useful features and I am sure you will pick it up quickly and if not, you now know where to ask questions.

We have a thread somewhere and it is a bit surprising how often transgender and gayness can run in a family. They have a common cause and now it appears from others on the site that their is a genetic link even if it's unproven.

Your children may also join the site if they wish as we have a youth section. There are others in the youth section who are autistic as well.

I completed my transition 33 years ago so I have seen pretty much everything including years of post surgical life. Feel free to ask me any questions and I will do my best to answer them. You will find others on the site are helpful as well and are a bit more up to date on the current surgeries though I am learning.

Dirty word, I just looked backing your posting history to see if you received the rules and your first post was the thread about a genetic link to transgender.

hi it turns out that when I search my name on google my posts from here come up. I need to delete them. Would that happen if I delete my account?

The best solution is if it's your user name, we change your user name to something else. Sorry but to the system you are just a number and when a name needs to be displayed, the number looks up the name. The advantage is changing the name in just one place changes it almost everywhere on the system. If it's a thread title, we can rename the title. If it's on a limited number of posts, we change a few. If you want privacy, feel free to PM me and I will handle it for you.
