Hello, I'm a Transman, so I'm labelled, called Kim. I am currently living my life as man but I was born female. I'm pretty happy with who I am and my family/friends are very understanding on the whole so I am luckier than most. I think maybe its a little easier for Transmen that Transwomen from what I have witnessed but its still not without its struggles when it comes to being accepted. I've followed a lot of transgender forums but have never signed up to one. I like the tone of this particular site and I read a story that really touched me whilst I was looking through some threads so I thought I'd join up myself. It definitely helps when you can bounce off people who are in a similar place in their life and who share the same common struggles. Thanks, Kim.

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Welcome to Susan's Place. My surgical date is in my signature and while looking for some information, I ran across this site. Needless to say, Cindy and Susan ganged up on me and chained me to a computer.

Now back to reality. I remain here because the site is exchanging useful information and great care has been taken to ensure the health and safety of the members. My years of knowledge are a small part of the puzzle and I am able to share what I know in order to help others avoid the mistakes I made. I also know how to simplify their transition so they don't end up 8 years in transition like I did. If there is anything I can do to help you, let me know.

Thanks again everyone for the welcome and your offer of support should I need it. Yes Maine isn't great in the Winter for keeping warm but I enjoy the outdoor board sports so its a good excuse to swap my skateboard for a snowboard.
