"Editorial from photographer
I am transgender and employed by a contractor for the City of San Francisco. My boss and most of my co-workers support me and my transition more than my own family. However one co-worker has commented that I don't act feminine enough.

Most of the discrimination I experience is by the clientele we serve. I have been called "->-bleeped-<-got" on numerous occasions, on the phone, and in person by our constituency.
Use of the proper pronouns is NEVER respected. I get screamed at on a daily basis, which has created a very hostile work environment.
I am challenged physically with death threats, and fights, by our clientele because of who I am, and my boss and or employer do what they can to stop the abuse, and or hate....

My point is will Federal Protection ensure this type of activity ceases or will it enable me to prevent the abuse or even sue in court?"
