First time posting here, so apologies in advance if I've done anything wrong!

I'm 21 and I'm a few weeks out from starting hormones (mtf), I want to celebrate by buying something ultra feminine. I wanna splurge and go for this outfit in particular, mostly as something to wear in private with my fiancee, but I'm terrified that not even the XL will fit me: http://world.taobao.com/item/524532460277.htm?fromSite=main&spm=a312a.7700824.w4004-12634234487.12.1bVpgM (for reference, the bust on XL is listed at 96cm (37.8in), while the length is 54cm (21.25in))

Can anyone help and let me know if this sort of thing is wearable for me? I'm 5'11" (180cm) and I'm completely new to buying female clothing that isn't underwear. I'm about 88kg (194lbs), but my weight isn't my biggest concern as I'm working to lose that, but I'm sadly not able to do much about my height.

Thanks! I'm sorry if I'm being at all silly with this outfit choice or anything, it's just so cute and I wanna do my best to not let this chance pass me by.

Additionally, I'm going to be starting my first job since coming out in a few months! I've explained my situation to my employers and they're very understanding, thankfully! Basically, I wanna try find very feminine, cute clothing for everyday life and work. There's no dress code at work, but I'd still like to look at least somewhat professional.

Thank you for everything! I'm eager to start taking some big steps forward, and clothing is definitely a big part of this for me!

Welcome to Susan's Place. Unless it call out that it's a tall size and tells you how they define tall, don't buy it. The biggest problem with wearing normal sizes when you are tall is the wast to shoulder measurement. A few times items have been purchased for me by people who weren't aware of this and I ended up with a bare midriff. There are two tall ranges and the normal range is for women up to 5'11". The rest of us need something even longer and sometimes I find the 5'11" can be on the short side for me.

You should keep office wear simple like a skirt, pants simple blouse and a jacket if needed. If you overdress, you will draw more attention than you want. What I saw on the website is a bit fancy for normal office wear but would be better worn on a formal evening out.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

That outfit looks very Japanese and Japanese women aren't known for their height, 5'11" is definitely upper limit for them. I'd suggest buying a few cheaper items from them first to gauge the size before taking the plunge on something like that. I'm 6'3" and find the biggest issue for me is that dresses and skits end up a lot higher above the knees than if I was shorter.

Plus size sites and chains such as Lane Bryant, Torrid and others are a great place to get up to date fashions in those sizes. I'm not sure if they sell via internet to Japan though.

Hello and welcome  :)

Others have said its very difficult to gauge japanese sizes.
You might have a look at size measurements in the store.
Basically every company may have their own size scales.
It looks sweet nevertheless  :)
Can you find something similar closer to you, or are you from Japan ?

To get aquired with sizes you simply might try second hand stores.
A few nice sweaters and trousers in the beginning might do.
You could get quainted with sizes that way.

Another possibility could be to order online and order two sizes, measured by the size scales given by their site.

In the beginning also for a job you might start with a few nice trousers ... maybe black and plain cloth ...
a few nice sweaters ...
and try a few skirts and dresses ...

*hugs*

Feminine tall sizes up to XL or 14/16 are available online only from:
Banana Republic, GAP, Old Navy, Ann Taylor, JcPenny, J Crew, The Limited, Lands End, New York & Company, TopShop and Eddie Bauer.

I'm currently 6' 3" 174 lbs. Wear a size: Medium/Large 12-14.

Regular off the rack short dresses from White House Black Market seem to fit me fine.
Black dress in current avatar is a size '14 Tall' from GAP online.

Honey it's not a problem. I'm 6'3" 210 with size 14 feet. I take it you are from the UK. I'm not very good at conversions. I will tell you this. I fit a size 16 us. In terms of length, it's not too bad. Both dresses I purchased come halfway between the butt and the knee. Based on your age I would suggest you try Venus.com the clothes are very affordable and the three outfits I've purchased from them are of good quality. I wish I could get locked in their store and try everything on. The bigger problem is foot size. Luckily the size 13s at Payless can fit my large feet. Oh if you have the marshmellow middle I suggest a Columbian Faja. It's a girdle that gives you a nice butt lift which in high heels is only made better. I bought a nice bodycon dress (very form fitting)and the faja really helps in that regard, a lovely sweater dress with a cowl neck, a blouse and some really cute jeggings with lacy cut outs along the sides. Actually the faja allowed me to buy jeans that were 36 inch waist when my regular size until recently size 40
