Threatened and beaten by the Family

Hi everyone,

i had  some bad time this week. I started my transition as a girl three months ago [with HRT started 8 months ago]. i had breakup with my parents with parents since then.They already theatened me of worst consequenses. and even lured and taken forcefully with them to undergo conversion therepy. i managed to escaped from there. again they shown up at my office and created a scene there by lodging complaint against me with police depicting them that i am missing and i am mentally ill. I was able to lodge complaint against them but they got at my residence and beaten me brutally.my face and wrists got swollen. i managed to get rid of them with pepper spray. thay fled with a warning to 'Think over' or worst will do.

Though i have lodged compalint with the help of Trans dealing NGO, i still feed unsafe. is there anything i could do in addition to conventionsal police help ?i could resume office soon i think. 

[Police in india is worst then at other places.They refuses to lodge compalint until presurrisez by ngo's or bigger authority,often misbehave].

My understanding is you now have more rights under the law but they may provide very little help. Your best protection may be placing yourself where they can't find you or get ahold of you. This could involve moving to another city or remaining in the company of others you trust for protection if you remain where you are.

I would suggest you cut off any contact you might have with your family so they have no means to trace you and if possible, use a name they are not aware of.
