I do not have any friends and the people I try to talk to eventually just stop responding. Is there any hope for me?

Of course you can...it's better with friends. keep trying. I was not very well received initially, but people have some around.

I second that you can do it without friends.... but best to have friends in your life. I can also tell you like Alice said, some will not be by your side at first, but they may come around. I was fortunate enough to have very few rejections, but of those who rejected me, every one of them has come around.

Don't lose hope, keep your head up high, and be confident in yourself.

I had a total of two friends when I came out.   When I told them I was trans, well, lets say I have zero friends now.  I thought at first the world stopped, but now I realize that its still going, and even though it is hard most of the time, I still get up and put my makeup on, and go through the day.
Yes you can keep going, and yes it will be hard, but at the end of the day, you know that you are doing the best you can, and that you are doing it for yourself.  Hang in there, and who knows what will happen.  I wake up every morning with the thought of "I made it through yesterday, so I can make it through today".

Also, now you have a lot of friends from this site, so you are not alone :)

I'm sitting here Blossom with a smile on my face.  The smile has to do
with only one thing, because I can relate on the deepest of levels, a
smile because I've traveled this road forever.  Yes.....you can!  For
this very moment I am going to leave this here and to say that if you
would like me too, when I come in from outside work I will sit and draft
a more complete reply.  Or.....if you like you can PM me and I would be
happy to talk in a more private setting.  Either way it is up to you.
The main thing is that you can and yes there is hope for
you always.   Dani   P.S.  I tried to respond to this as soon as you posted, but when I hit the post button nothing happened.  Long story short apparently I had a comupter mishap in which certain protocols became missing.  I hope the above makes sense, it is the loner perspective, not to say this is preferred in any way, I just have some insights is all.

I seem to always scare people off. What am I doing wrong?
